~ Alpaca Country Paddocks...A History ~

February 2001: A Partnership formed when Mark Paddock & Pam Keville decided they wanted to raise the adorable cuddly looking, small members of the camelid family. Alpacas would be the perfect profitable alternative farming business for their 3.17 acre farm that sets hidden away in Whitelaw New York just 2 miles south of Oneida Lake, 5 miles north of Canastota, 22 miles east of Syracuse & 32 miles west of Utica.  Their herd started with 5 huacaya alpacas.

January 2002: An internet store was built via Ebay to market & sell raw alpaca fleeces & end-products such as fine sweaters, hats, gloves, blankets, socks. This Ebay store became very popular. 

2004 Decision to cut back herd of 16 alpacas in an effort to focus on their fleece and fine garments.  Able to offer quality alpaca products at very affordable prices.

October 2005: Finally hired a webdesigner to build us a wonderful internet boutique where we can display all our exquisite alpaca products for the world to see and shop. We decided that their elegant quality deserved the very best merchandising and we hope this web store will do so!
